The following introduction to the philosophy of Physics will hopefully become part of a larger textbook. Its purpose is to situate physics among the sciences in general and establish a proper relation between faith and the scientific use of reason. Consequently, it treats physics from the point of view of traditional philosophic systems, most particularly that of the Thomistic synthesis. It is necessarily polemical in nature, for most modern philosophical errors derive from the mathematical and physical sciences. Like the other works found at this site, it has been placed in the public domain.
